Everest Base Camp In 1 Day!

Let’s just say that nothing gets in the way of Elliot doing epic Sh*t. We’ve always wanted to do the trek to Everest Base Camp, but the 12-14 days of vacation time was always hard to justify when there’s so much we want to see. Heck, we climbed Kilimanjaro in an unnecessary 6 days just so we could have time for safari afterwords! With only 5 days to spend in Nepal, it was obvious what needed to be done.

We needed a helicopter to take us to Base Camp. (Press Play)

This experience was beyond incredible from start to finish. After a feast of momo’s and Everest Beer in Kathmandu, we stumbled into the office of Global Treks Nepal and met our friend Raj who within an hour was securing our tour and watching us commemorate this moment with more Everest beer that we bought across the street. Raj set everything up perfectly from what day was better in terms of the weather to driving us to the Kathmandu airport the morning of our tour escorting us to our terminal! I have to admit that we shopped around town prior to booking our tour with Raj, but Global Treks Nepal offered the best pricing in town and what we got out of it was well worth it!

It is an additional charge if you wish to enter the hotel (it is a UNESCO site & national park) and your breakfast isn’t complimentary either. Honestly, when are you ever going to have this experience again though. Treat Yourself!

  • Highly professional helicopter pilot and state-of-the-art helicopter.

It’s hard to explain this experience without being cliche and using words like epic and legendary, but it was just that. We’re talking about seeing the most famous mountain, the tallest mountain in the world! From a badass helicopter! Flying over an icefall that everyone fears to attempt! Planting your feet at Base Camp! Sipping brews at 13,000 feet! IN NEPAL!!! …unreal.

If the hike to Base Camp is out of the equation for whatever reason, this is the way to still make it happen. No, you’re not going to find inner peace along the way and test your limits, but you’ll fulfill that sense of adventure and be a part of something truly f*ck!n magical! Also, if you book with Global Treks Nepal, you’ll make a great friend along the way. Thank you Raj and your team!
