Judging by our Instagram photo's you would think we're out traveling the world daily. Not quite. Each photo is carefully picked from our 10 terabytes of photo/video/drone madness collected over the past 5 years. Needless to say, our lives aren't always fun and games, but when it is... We dedicate to doing the most fun shit ever.

Whose we? I'm Rachel, the writer of this blog. My other half, Elliot, is the photo & video editor. We've been together for 6 years and have traveled countless countries and over 100 cities internationally. Our "thing" is adventure traveling. To us, there is nothing more rewarding than testing your limits as a person and realizing what you're actually capable of doing. Sure, we love beautiful destinations and a pina colada on the beach, but the moments we talk about the most are those where we surprised ourselves.

Simply put, work is what we do in order to travel. That's how we make it work. By creating budget logs throughout the year, we're able to anticipate what we can save in order to create a trip based around how much we want to spend. Awesome, right? We have normal jobs and then we have the fun jobs which are content creating for businesses that need a social media push. 

People ask us quite frequently how we get along traveling together. The answer is not good. Just Kidding! Seriously, we get along 98% of the time which I think is pretty impressive for 2 people who:

• Spend everyday together for 4-5 weeks.
• Get very little sleep.
• Go through 4-5 different time zones in those 4-5 weeks.
• Get hangry (mostly me).
• Experience food poisoning in very small hostel/hotel rooms.
• Again, spend every single day together for 4-5 weeks.
• Wake up hungover almost everyday.
• For days, only speak to each other because we are the only one's who understand English.
• Sleep overnight on shitty buses to save money.
• Get lost from time to time.

At the end of the day, we find ourselves working as a team, getting stuff done, and proud of our accomplishments. This type of mindset is why we travel and what we live for.

TakeMeWithYouTravel was created as our insignia about 4 years ago once we got back from Thailand. People kept asking us about our trips and kept saying "Please, take me with you." It's said to us all the time. It seems people really enjoy our stories and adventures which is why we decided to create a space for us to share it with the world.

So here we are! Now you know a little bit about us, but what you don't know is the coolest part. With our content we hope to help you discover places around the world, answer questions you might have, and spark your interest in all the things we love to do.
